Cath Norman is a senior leader in the global energy and resources sectors with more than 30 years’ experience shaping and delivering high-impact exploration projects across Australia, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. As Managing Director of ASX-listed FAR Limited for 11 years, she guided the company to become the sixth-largest oil and gas company on the ASX, reaching a market capitalisation of A$700 million, and oversaw the world’s largest oil discovery of 2014 offshore Senegal, West Africa. Her expertise spans the full exploration and development lifecycle—project generation, discovery, development, and operational execution—alongside deep capability in capital markets, equity and debt financing, environmental, social and governance (ESG) strategy, public-company governance, risk management, and investor relations. Cath is currently Executive Chair of BOA Resources Limited, an ASX-listed explorer focused on critical battery minerals such as nickel and lithium, and the founder of Lionne Pty Ltd, a multidisciplinary consulting firm dedicated to energy and resources project execution with a particular emphasis on African energy opportunities. Her industry contributions have been recognised with multiple honors, including the Global Women in Petroleum and Energy Award for Africa (2014), the Upstream West African Woman in E&P Award (2018), and the African Energy Chamber Lifetime Achievement Award (2022). She is passionate about driving sustainable growth and empowering teams to deliver meaningful results.
