As a Partner at Chrysalix Venture Capital, Greg is a hands-on investor who works closely with founders to accelerate growth, navigate challenges, and develop high-value business models. He plays an active role in investment selection, fundraising, and portfolio strategy, and serves on the Chrysalix operating board. Greg focuses on new technologies that are reimagining heavy industry and enabling the energy transition, from industrial AI, energy technologies and grid optimization to electrification, automation, and circularity. He has previously served on the UK’s Cardiff University research advisory panel, focusing on enabling repurposing through product transformation and connected collaboration.

Greg is a trusted advisor to startup boards and CEOs, drawing on a more than 30-year track record that includes management and board roles in public and private companies in Canada, New Zealand, the USA and the UK. He has led corporate turnarounds, managed multi-factory manufacturing operations, spearheaded shifts from hardware to software business models and managed global M&A projects, including as VPGM for Celestica’s GreenTech & Industrial Business Unit, the acquisition of a $220M semiconductor equipment manufacturing business.

Greg’s governance experience spans early-stage boards, public company governance, capital strategies, audit & risk, founder succession, and corporate restructuring. He holds the ICD.D designation from the Canadian Institute of Corporate Directors and an MBA from Napier University in Edinburgh. He currently serves on the Economic Advisory Committee for the City of Richmond and the Richmond Chamber of Commerce Policy Advisory Committee.
