Robert Allen is a venture investor and operator with 10+ years of experience in venture capital investing and portfolio management across industrial, deep-tech, and climate-focused companies. He is part of the founding team of Orogenyx, an early-stage venture fund focused on advancing innovation across mining and critical minerals.
He works closely with founders and boards to scale technologies that reduce cost, risk, and carbon intensity in hard-to-abate sectors, with particular emphasis on heavy industry, inclusive of mining and oil and gas. Robert has led and supported investments spanning early commercialization through growth, and brings hands-on experience across strategy, governance, and capital formation.

Robert holds a a pair of masters, MBA/MEM, from Duke University and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania; he is based in Berkeley, CA.
