Sergey is a materials scientist and engineer whose work bridges theoretical and experimental approaches to study polymeric and composite materials across their lifecycle. His research develops multi-physics models and experimental techniques to understand how processing influences structure, and how structure in turn governs performance and degradation.

His interests span manufacturing process modeling, failure mechanisms, and sustainability-driven design, with a focus on establishing structure/property relationships that enable science-informed use of materials. Sergey is particularly drawn to early-stage technologies where the physics is not fully settled and critical assessment is needed to establish feasibility and long-term material performance. He brings a multi-scale perspective to evaluating ventures, informed by both academic research and engineering practice.
