Stuart Lombard is an accomplished entrepreneur who, before founding ecobee in 2007, led two technology companies to successful acquisitions and served as a venture capital partner for eight years. Driven by a commitment to environmental sustainability, he launched ecobee, introducing the world’s first Wi-Fi-connected smart thermostat in 2009. Under his leadership, ecobee has saved over 28 TWh of energy for North American customers.Lombard led Ecobee to acquisition in 2021 by Generac Power Systems in a deal valued up to $770 million USD, along with a team that includes chief product officer Greg Fyke, who is now Ecobee’s incoming president.
