Dr. Alexandra T. Greenhill is an ER and family medicine physician, one of the leading doctors in digital health innovation having led early efforts to digitise healthcare delivery and offer virtual health, with several exits. She is also a renowned health AI expert and one of the co-editors of the “”AI in Clinical Medicine”” book (Wiley, 2023). Dr. Greenhill is currently the Founder CEO and Chief Medical Officer of Careteam Technologies, a CDL alumni company that created the next gen platform enabling health teams to empower patients with complex chronic health issues along the journey from symptoms to diagnosis to treatment.

Dr. Greenhill is adept at translating digital developments into meaningful advancements to help people live life well. She believes entrepreneurship and technology hold the answers to the greatest issues we face today, including in health care – where the increasing complexity leads to confusion and costs and a huge and growing gap between what is possible and what is happening.

After having implemented health innovation at scale, she now leads and advises Canada’s most promising technology companies. She is the Board Chair of Physician Innovators, the global network for physicians involved in ventures and Board member for the physician angel investor group Halo Health. She serves as an Advisory Board member for the SFU Big Data Hub and the UBC Care Anywhere program. She also serves on the Boards of Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) and the Cancer Research Society (CRS), and is past Board Chair of the Vancouver Foundation, which oversees a $1.5 billion endowment focused on systemic change supporting people in communities.

Dr. Greenhill has done two TEDx talks and given over 1000 presentations on healthcare, innovation, systems change and leadership. Her work has received many recognitions, including Top 40 under 40, Startup Canada’s Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award, YWCA Women of Distinction Awards: Entrepreneurship, Women Leaders in Digital Health Award, WXN Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada and Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal of Service. She is a mother of three and has been running ski patrol for over a decade now.
