Elvira Shishenina leads Quantum Computing research team at BMW Group Central Invention, exploring the technology native applications in the automotive value chain. Previously, she played a key role in establishing the first quantum computing initiative at TotalEnergies and developing the first in-house codes for chemistry and linear algebra applications. An alumna of the prestigious École Polytechnique Paris-Saclay with a Ph.D. in mathematics from French National Institute for Digital Science and Technology (INRIA), she is recognized for her contribution to a global quantum computing ecosystem. As a president of not-for-profit associations QuantX and Le Lab Quantique, and a founder of the marketplace for quantum competitions Aqora, she established a worldwide network through BIG Quantum Hackathons and the French first house of quantum “La Maison du Quantique”. Since 2023, Elvira assesses on a research roadmap for quantum computing applications in creative industries as a scientific advisor at Moth.
