Dr. Jenuth is a business executive with over 20 years of life science, IT and business development experience. Jacki is currently a partner with Lumira Ventures, Canada’s largest and most established venture firm focused on investing the life sciences sector in North America. Dr. Jenuth’ investment focus is primarily on early to mid-stage private companies involved in drug discovery and development in a number of area including neurological disorders, rare diseaes and oncology. In addition to her investment role she also directs all aspects of Lumira Ventures’ information technology initiatives having architected a world class venture capital analytics platform.
Dr. Jenuth earned a Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of Calgary, Alberta, followed by post-doctoral studies at the Montréal Neurological Institute and McGill University, both in Québec, where her research focused mainly on the genetic basis of disease involving the human mitochondrial genome. She currently serves as a board member for the Canadian Venture Capital Association, serves on the scientific advisory board of the NRC’s human health and services division and mentors companies through Ontario Bio (OBIO) and Creative Destruction Labs.
