Karim Ibrik is Chief Operating Officer at Rondo Energy, a leader in heat battery technology for industrial decarbonization. He oversees Rondo’s operations, product, and commercialization efforts—building Rondo’s early project pipeline, securing major venture and non-dilutive financing, and leading first commercial deployments following successful demonstration of Rondo’s system.

Previously, Karim was Co-Founder and CTO of H Cycle, developing a waste-to-hydrogen platform, and Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Azimuth Capital, where he focused on low-carbon fuels investments. Earlier in his career, he held technical and operational leadership roles at Shell, working across hydrogen, syngas, and gas-to-liquids technologies.

Karim advises several energy startups, serves as a mentor and judge for climate tech fellowships, and guest lectures at universities on topics in energy and climate innovation.
