Kory Mathewson

Senior Research Scientist, DeepMind

Kory Mathewson is a Senior Research Scientist with DeepMind in Montreal, Canada. He holds a Ph.D. in Computing Science from the University of Alberta with the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute. His research interests include interactive machine learning, human-in-the-loop deep reinforcement learning, human-robot interfaces, and conversational dialogue systems. Before his Ph.D., he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and his Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. Kory has worked at Twitter Cortex, at Google Brain Magenta, and at Apple Special Projects Group. Kory is also accomplished improvisational theatre artist.
