Mr. Forchette is an accomplished medical technology executive with demonstrated success transforming industries and driving breakthrough technologies to market leadership. After 9 years of serving as President & CEO of Delphinus, Forchette decided to step away from the day-to-day and retire in 2023, but will maintain his position on the Board. Prior to joining Delphinus, Forchette was president and chief executive officer of OptiMedica Corporation, an ophthalmic medical device company that dramatically changed the standard of care in retina, glaucoma and cataract. He led the start-up venture through development and growth, successfully completed multiple rounds of financing, and oversaw the company’s acquisition by Abbott Laboratories in 2013. He began his career in the medical technology industry as a sales representative at Greishaber and Company, Inc., where he ultimately became vice president of U.S. sales and marketing and led the company through its acquisition by Alcon. During his tenure at Alcon, he steered the tactical integration of Grieshaber, advanced to Vice President of vitreoretinal sales and global marketing, and led the retina portfolio through substantial market share gain. Mr. Forchette has a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Auburn University and completed the Harvard Program for Management Development. He is currently on the Dean’s Advisory Board of the Harbert College of Business at Auburn and is a member of the board of directors of VisionCare Technologies in Saratoga, California.
