Matthew Evans is a global technology and operations professional with two decades of experience in driving technology innovation, scaling businesses, and driving transformation spanning aerospace, energy, construction, and finance spaces. As Deputy COO at G-Research, he uses his technology-oriented operations skills to provide speed and scale for high-performing settings. Matthew formerly worked at TopHat as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer, where he developed an end-to-end digital and manufacturing platform to transform modular housing with sustainable, high-quality, and energy-efficient solutions.

He previously worked at Airbus for over five years, particularly as VP of Performance Management & Transformation to lead a company-wide transformation to streamline processes, enable teams, and transform cost structure to respond to market challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic. Before that as VP of Digital Transformation, he developed and scaled Skywise, Airbus’ first data platform to connect more than 100 global airlines and suppliers, seeing increased productivity, reduced days of downtime, and improved efficiency across the aviation supply chain. His background also includes building out Digital Services at Siemens Energy to achieve a $1B+ order book with data-powered service contracts and Predictive Maintenance.

With a physics, energy, and materials science background, Matthew merges intense technical knowledge with demonstrated leadership in operations, technology innovation, and strategy. He is celebrated for his knack for closing the gap between innovative complexities and practical implementation — from the board level to the factory floor — translating breakthrough technology into scalable realities.
