Dr. Meinrad Lugan joined B. Braun in 2020 as a board member for the outpatient division. In 2004, he additionally took over responsibility for the hospital division. Since 2022, Meinrad has been on the board of the family holding of B. Braun, responsible for innovation and technologies. He has been the chairman of the German Medical Devices Industry Association BVMed since 2007. Since 2008, Dr. Lugan is on the board of Medtech Europe, the European Medtec association. Before 2000, he held various roles in the chemical and pharmaceutical Industry (starting from Business unit leader to CEO of a contract Manufacturing company). Meinrad will retire from B. Braun at the end of September 2023 and will stay active in the technology and startup environment.
