Michelle Lam invests in and advises Caltech lab spinouts. She currently works with Caltech startups in biomedical engineering, clean energy and artificial intelligence. She was CEO and co-founder of True&Co., a venture-backed ecommerce brand. She exited successfully to PVH Corp., the parent company of Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, and then continued to grow the business as the brand’s President.
Previously, Michelle was an investment principal at Bain Capital Ventures, where she invested in LinkedIn and also co-founded BCV’s Operating Group. She has worked at Microsoft Corporate Strategy, Parthenon Capital and the Boston Consulting Group. Michelle started her career at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She received her BAcc and MAcc at the University of Waterloo’s School of Accounting and Finance. Her awards include the John M. Harper and William J. Harper Scholarship and the Young Alumni Award. She has been named one of Fast Company’s Most Creative People, an Adweek Woman Trailblazer and is on NRF’s List of People Shaping Retail’s Future.
