Dr. Milica Vukmirovic has over 10 years of experience in early-stage technology and venture development, specializing in go-to-market strategies, business development, IP, licensing, and fundraising. She has worked with university initiatives, accelerators, and investment funds across the US, Europe, and Canada. Dr. Vukmirovic led the National adMare BioInnovation Therapeutics Accelerator in collaboration with MaRS, establishing a bioinnovation stronghold in Canada. As Director of External Programs at the University of Toronto’s Precision Medicine initiative (PRiME), she facilitated commercialization and fundraising for early-stage technologies. She previously served as a Blavantik Fellow, a consultant at St. Joe’s Hamilton, and Lead Health Innovation Coach at McMaster University. Dr. Vukmirovic also co-chairs an entrepreneurial working group at the American Thoracic Society, supporting academic pulmonary medicine. She holds a PhD in Cancer Cell Biology from the University of Lausanne and completed postdoctoral work at Yale and Florida State University, with 18 peer-reviewed publications.
