Rhiannon Davies

Founding and Managing Partner, Sandpiper Ventures

A native of New Brunswick, Rhiannon has created, acquired and led companies in Europe, Asia, South and North America, including as CEO of GVSC BV, which she built to become a $2Billion revenue subsidiary of multinational eyecare giant GrandVision. She was a member of the Executive and Board of Directors that took PE-backed GrandVision public on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange, raising $1.5 billion in one of the top 10 global IPOs of the year. Prior to this role, she served as VP in charge of operations during the CAD $18Billion sale and integration of international specialised nutrition and medical device manufacturer Royal Numico B.V by Groupe Danone. Rhiannon has held board roles in non-profits, crown corporations, start-ups and publicly traded multi-nationals. An active investor and mentor, Rhiannon is motivated by the enormous untapped opportunity of investing in women-owned technology companies as an underrepresented demographic that is overperforming. Rhiannon is a Founding and Managing Partner of Sandpiper Ventures, a seed-stage VC fund investing in Canadian technology companies.
