As a driven and passionate Cybersecurity Executive, Shawn Ershad is the founder of Forecight Cybersecurity, a pure–play cybersecurity advisory and technology services firm. He holds over 22 years of cybersecurity industry expertise, including extensive experience driving revenue and scaling organizations across cybersecurity advisory and technology portfolios. His entrepreneurial spirit and ability to commercialize nascent technologies have enabled him to drive innovation to market throughout his career. Prior to founding Forecight, Shawn led profitable growth across multiple cybersecurity firms where one of the firms was acquired by Deloitte.
Shawn is a visionary executive and Influential participant in setting both short– and long–term strategies as part of the executive team. He has the proven ability to lead across organizations and partners, regardless of direct line–of–sight management to secure complex and multi–million–dollar agreements. Shawn holds fostered CIO/CISO alliances within Enterprise organizations positioned as a trusted adviser.
His extensive cybersecurity knowledge across public and private sector industries has enabled his team and partners to effectively compete in mature and competitive landscapes. Shawn defines success criteria by leading teams in motivation, collaboration and overall organic growth focused on positive client outcome.
Shawn is a true believer of social responsibility to strengthen the connections between people, technology, and communities. He is a proud supporter of Canuck Place Children’s Hospice and Muscular Dystrophy Canada, and an active sponsor for Faly Football Academy, and West Vancouver Football Club. Shawn contributes his personal time as a mentor associate with Creative Destructive Labs, and serves as an advisory board member at Mulgrave School, and Permex Petroleum Corporation.
Shawn is passionate about mentoring and teaching up-and-coming cybersecurity firm and professionals. He hopes to elevate and encourage future cybersecurity experts who will help secure our digital world for years to come.
