Thomas has spent the last 25+ years building and advising companies at the intersection of life sciences and specialty chemicals. As a serial entrepreneur, he has founded and led multiple ventures spanning drug development and medical devices with several companies subsequently going public or being sold. His work has centered on translating scientific breakthroughs into commercially viable products, with a focus on areas such as metabolic disease, oncology, women’s health, neuromuscular diseases and rare diseases. As a consultant, Thomas has advised global corporates, investors, and growth-stage companies on strategy, commercialization, and operational transformation. He previously held senior leadership roles in business development and VC investment at major firms, including Monsanto and Tullis-Dickerson, and was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company. He holds a PhD in Biological Chemistry from MIT. Thomas currently serves as an advisor to venture capital and private equity funds and as well as public funders such as BARDA and supports early stage companies on strategy and growth initiatives.
