Jason Robertson is CEO, Managing Partner, and Co-Founder of Nimbus Synergies, a $35M evergreen seed fund backing early-stage health technology companies across Canada. Nimbus leads rounds from pre-seed through Series A in digital health, health IT, and medtech, with a thesis focused on augmenting healthcare professionals, advancing women’s health, and enabling care in the home. He serves on the boards of Claris Healthcare, Clarius Mobile Health, LifeBooster, Sonic Incytes, and Variational AI.
Before Nimbus, Jason was Head of Business Development at Aquinox Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: AQXP), where he led licensing, intellectual property, M&A, and partnerships. He helped raise more than $200M, including the company’s NASDAQ IPO, and initiated a $155M partnership with Astellas Pharma.
Jason also runs The GENERATOR, a free 5,000 square foot health tech hub that has supported more than 105 companies over 15 years and currently hosts 30 resident ventures and 5 VCs. He holds a B.Sc. in Microbiology and Immunology with a minor in Biotechnology from McGill University, and an MBA in Finance and Strategic Management from the UBC Sauder School of Business.
