Managing Partner, Amiral Ventures

Dominic is an entrepreneur, growth and VC investor, senior executive, and board member. He is currently the co-founder & managing director of Amiral Ventures, a venture capital organization providing capital and expertise to innovative entrepreneurs in their scale-up & growth phases. AMIRAL is a new and ambitious initiative aiming at partnering with entrepreneurs to reinforce the ecosystem and build the next global leading companies in the technology industry.

Dominic is also a Partner at XPND Capital since 2011. XPND Capital is a private equity fund based in Montreal. The organization aims at encouraging the emergence of the next generation of large-size businesses in Quebec by contributing strategic capital and assisting entrepreneurs. XPND successfully raised, managed and returned two different investment funds.

Dominic also acted as CFO for Ludia, a leading Montreal-based mobile games developer. There, he managed the finance, HR, communications, and I.T. functions. He was previously Senior Vice President – Investment Banking for Messier Maris & Associates, a mergers and acquisitions consulting firm specializing in international transactions in the TMT industry, for which he worked for eight years in New York and Paris. He also spent four years in corporate finance for National Bank Financial in Montreal.

Dominic sits on the board of directors of Direxyon Technologies, La Tribu and the Marie Vincent Foundation. Previous board experiences include The Lion Electric Company, iPerceptions, gsmprjct, Mishmash Media, Taxelco / Téo Taxi, and Piknic Electronik. He is also one of the co-founders of Taxelco and Téo Taxi.

A graduate of HEC-Montreal, he holds a Master of Science in Finance (2001) and a Bachelor of Finance (1999). He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
