EcoHoist develops a low-capital material transport system for underground mines. Its mechanical bucket elevator uses high-strength composite materials to lift ore through smaller, lower-cost shafts, providing an electric alternative to diesel haulage without the expense of large skip hoists or conveyors. A BHP study confirmed the technology can reduce material transport costs by ~43% and lower capital costs by ~73%.
