Occam’s Technologies is developing the Direct Oxyfire Carbon Capture (DOCC) process, a retrofit solution designed for industrial diesel and natural gas engine applications. The venture addresses the challenge of capturing distributed CO₂ emissions from internal combustion engines, where conventional technologies involve bulky, energy‐intensive equipment and high integration costs. Prototype testing and process simulations have demonstrated that DOCC can achieve a lower parasitic load on the engine compared to existing methods, indicating a more efficient and cost‐competitive approach.
