Yuri Navarro is a seasoned finance and technology executive based in Toronto, with a strong track record in building relationships, teams, and processes that drive results. He is the Managing Partner at Kanata Ventures, a firm that invests in high-growth enterprise businesses globally, helping them access customers, grow, and secure funding from top-tier VCs in North America. Kanata Ventures writes average cheques of $20-50K for a small amount of equity, with follow-on investments of $150K as companies generate revenue in their home market and up to $250K-$1M for those reaching Series A. Yuri started at Katana as an investor, then has created a global pipeline of enterprise technology solutions, enabling client scale-ups to demonstrate strong market traction and pilot success in Canada. Concurrently, Yuri is also the Business Development Lead at SunnySide Digital, supporting high-performance computing infrastructure for AI systems and the Principal at NAVY Global Consulting Corp., advising companies in renewable energy and cleantech on strategy and commercialization. As an Advisor at ventureLAB, Yuri assists Canadian startups in hardware, consumer electronics, and enterprise businesses with fundraising strategies.

Yuri’s previous roles include CEO and Special Advisor to the CEO at NACO Canada, where he built the national infrastructure to professionalize the Angel Investor asset class. He co-founded Platform VC, offering back-office services to early-stage funds, and contributed to fundraising and strategy at Panache Ventures.

Yuri holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Entrepreneurship from Ryerson University and has completed the Directors Education Program at the Institute of Corporate Directors.
