Aimee Arnoldussen is an Innovation and Commercialization Specialist at Discovery to Product where she helps develop healthcare, life science, and social science innovations to market. Dr. Arnoldussen has an integrated background in research, business, healthcare and the development of medical and assistive technologies. She received her PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, MS in Biology from University of Southern California (USC) and a BS/BA in Cognitive Science and Human Development from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). After receiving her PhD, she joined the WARF-licensed company Wicab Inc. where her team developed and gained FDA 510(k) de novo clearance for the BrainPort vision device for those who are blind. Her research was awarded over $6M in non-dilutive funding from the NIH and Department of Defense that led to venture fundraising exceeding $7M. Her work has been featured in magazines, newspapers and TV. She then went on to manage the UW Health Technology Assessment Program, providing evidence-based analyses of healthcare technologies to guide strategic organizational and purchasing decisions.
