Since its early funding by North American angel investors and Australian private equity to its acquisition by the Swedish multinational Sandvik AB in 2019, the Newtrax saga has been a testament to the opportunities and challenges to innovation in the mining industry. As a dual Canadian and European citizen proficient in English, French, and basic Spanish, my international business successes and a degree in electrical engineering from McGill University have been pivotal in shaping my career trajectory. Throughout my professional journey, I have been recognized with prestigious awards, including the 2011 Innovation Prize from the Quebec Order of Engineers, Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50™ in 2018, and the EY Technology Entrepreneur of the Year® in the same year.
