Ángel Sánchez Díaz holds a degree in Physics from the Complutense University of Madrid, a PhD in Applied Physics from the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC, “Miguel Ángel Catalán” Physics Center), and an AMP diploma from IESE Business School. After completing his research career, he joined IBM, where he contributed to the development of software solutions for the management of Environmental and Quality Systems.
In 1998, he moved into consulting, joining Everis (now NTT Data). Over more than two decades, he held leadership roles across Telecommunications, IT Governance, Innovation, and Corporate Venturing. Most recently, he spearheaded the launch of the company’s Space Division within the Aerospace and Defense organization, helping position the firm as a relevant player in Spain’s growing space technology ecosystem.
After leaving the Everis Group in 2020, Ángel became a professional partner at SILO, where he manages digital, technology, and innovation projects for both public and private organizations. His work focuses on strategic transformation, emerging technologies, and advancing collaborations across government, industry, and research institutions.
He is recognized for his rare combination of deep scientific training, strategic leadership, and hands-on experience building new innovation capabilities within large organizations.
