Carol Zanmiller

Chief Strategy Officer, Rebel Space Technologies

Carol Zanmiller has 39 years in the space business, with her career spanning multiple dimensions of the industry. She has worked on all space segments: building/launching satellites, on-orbit satellite operations, and ground and processing segments. Her career covers many space market segments: commercial, defense, intelligence, and international.

Carol was co-founder and CEO of Cosmic Advanced Engineered Solutions, Inc., starting the business in 2001 and being acquired by Kratos in 2021. Cosmic AES brought signals and space expertise to building innovative solutions to get critical data to soldiers with the engineering discipline standards of large businesses, but faster. She is now chief strategy officer with Rebel Space Technologies, developing AI/ML innovative products to address the cybersecurity
challenges for space links.

Carol has a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from Michigan Technological University and a master’s electrical engineering/telecommunications from University of Colorado, Boulder. She also has a master’s in business from Boston University.
