Claudia Salem is an advisor and independent director with over 25 years of global expertise in the financial services and telecommunications sectors. Her passion for fostering innovation and empowering emerging ventures led her to actively mentor start-ups in the fintech, insuretech, and cleantech sectors.

As the former CEO of property and casualty for Asia Pacific at Allianz, Claudia showcased her adeptness in managing the P&L and driving functional development to propel the company’s business in the region. Her exceptional leadership was further evident during her tenure as the Singapore CEO and head of Southeast Asia at AIG, where she played pivotal roles in operations management, business development, and customer solutions.

With an MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in computer and communications engineering from the American University of Beirut, Claudia brings a unique blend of business acumen and technical expertise to her mentoring endeavours. Currently pursuing a Professional Certificate in Sustainability from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Claudia remains at the forefront of sustainable practices and is committed to empowering fintech start-ups to thrive in the dynamic and transformative world of financial technology.
