James Wantuck

Co-founder, PlushCare

Dr. Wantuck is a board-certified internal medicine physician, having trained at Stanford University Medical Center and completed his Medical Doctorate at Vanderbilt University Medical School. He co-founded PlushCare in 2015, building a virtual primary care platform from the ground up, leading a group of over three hundred physicians and therapists, and caring for over a million patients along the way. After merging PlushCare with Accolade, a healthcare navigation and advocacy company, in 2021 he has since doubled the size of the virtual primary care business. In August of 2024 he stepped away from the company and he is now exploring his next health technology venture. He lives in Seattle Washington, has a wonderful wife, two fantastic children, and a horrible golf habit.
