Jean-Marc Peyrat is a healthcare technology entrepreneur, innovator, and executive with more than 20 years of experience at the intersection of artificial intelligence, medical imaging, digital twins, and medical devices. Throughout his career, he has focused on translating cutting-edge scientific research into clinically impactful and commercially successful healthcare technologies.

Jean-Marc is currently Director of Science & Innovation at TheraPanacea and serves as an advisor, mentor, and expert to a range of healthcare organizations, startups, and innovation programs, including Creative Destruction Lab, WILCO, CNRS Innovation, and the French Ministry of Health. He is widely recognized for his expertise in AI-powered healthcare solutions, digital twins, and the ethical and practical implementation of advanced technologies in medicine.

Previously, Jean-Marc founded and led inHEART, a pioneering company developing AI-based digital twins of the patient’s heart to support the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. As Founder, CEO, and later CTO, he guided the company from its inception through fundraising, regulatory approvals, product commercialization, and international expansion, bringing one of the first cardiac digital twin platforms to market with both CE marking and FDA clearance. During his tenure, he secured significant funding, built a strong intellectual property portfolio, and helped grow the company into a recognized leader in digital cardiology.

Earlier in his career, Jean-Marc held research and development roles at Siemens Molecular Imaging, INRIA, Dassault Systèmes, and the Qatar Robotic Surgery Centre, where he worked on advanced medical imaging, surgical technologies, and AI-driven healthcare applications. He holds an MBA from HEC Paris and a PhD in medical image analysis completed through a joint program between INRIA and Siemens Corporate Research.

As a mentor, Jean-Marc enjoys helping founders navigate the challenges of deep-tech entrepreneurship, product development, fundraising, intellectual property strategy, regulatory pathways, and the commercialization of AI and medical technologies.
