Dr. Kevin Ding is currently Director of Utility Operations and Smart Grid at CenterPoint Energy. In his 25+ years at CenterPoint he has lead the implementation, deployment and operation support of Transmission Energy Management System (EMS), Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS), and other critical Operational Technology systems at control centers.
Dr. Ding is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). He has a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University and an MBA degree from University of Houston.
Dr. Ding is a member of Texas A&M’s Smart Grid Center and Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) advisory boards.
