Mikael Courbot

Chief Technology Officer, MicroPep

Dr. Mikael Courbot is Chief Technology Officer at Micropep Technologies, an AgTech company developing micropeptide-based solutions for sustainable crop protection. He brings more than 20 years of experience in plant biology, agricultural biotechnology, and R&D leadership, with a focus on translating scientific discovery into scalable products for farmers. Before joining Micropep, Mikael built the Biology department at RedAg Crop Protection, now Globachem Discovery, and spent nearly nine years at Syngenta across R&D sites in Switzerland and the UK, where he led scientific teams developing new solutions for biotic and abiotic stress. Mikael holds a PhD in Plant Biology and Genetics from Université Henri Poincaré in Nancy, France. His expertise spans plant science, biological discovery, crop protection, and the commercialization of next-generation agricultural technologies.
