Monica de Virgiliis built the first part of her career in semiconductors, holding senior leadership roles including General Manager of wireless multimedia at STMicroelectronics in Geneva and General Manager of industrial microcontrollers at Infineon Technologies in Munich.
Since 2017, she has focused her technology and industrial expertise on the energy transition, serving in major governance roles including the boards of Prysmian and Saras, and as Chairwoman of Snam from 2022 to 2025.
She currently serves on the board of ASM International and is Founder and Chair of Chapter Zero France, advancing dialogue on climate governance among directors, investors, and regulators.
