Nicole has close to 10 years of experience in robotics research, management, and science. She is passionate about creating and deploying intelligent pick and pack systems using state-of-the-art computer vision, deep learning, and robotic systems.
As the Co-Founder and CEO of LYRO Robotics, Nicole leads a team of talented engineers, researchers, and business professionals who share her vision of transforming the food supply chain with innovative and sustainable solutions. At LYRO Robotics, she oversees the strategic direction, product development, and customer relations of the company, which has secured multiple strategic connections with leading companies in Australia and overseas. Nicole also leverages her extensive research background and network to collaborate with academic and industry partners on cutting-edge projects and publications.
Nicole is committed to advancing the field of artificial intelligence and human-robot teams through her roles as an Advisor to the National AI Centre, a University Lecturer at Monash University, and a Keynote Speaker and Science Communicator. Some of her recent roles include being a Chief Investigator at the Australian Research Council’s Industrial Transformation Training Centre, an Honorary Adjunct Lecturer at the Centre for Robotics at QUT, and a Research Affiliate at the Australian Centre for Robotic Vision. Nicole has first-author publications in top-tier scientific journals, including Science (Robotics). She has also received multiple awards and honors for her scientific work and contributions, including the Australian Postgraduate Award Scholarship.
