Ron Van der Giesen

Ron is a highly accomplished General Manager and Supply Chain and Operations executive who worked as COO for High Liner foods and McKeil Marine and President of Global Supply Chain for Clearwater Seafoods. A native of the Netherlands, Ron’s early career began with Unilever Corporation after obtaining degrees in Chemistry and Engineering.

Ron has extensive experience managing multi-site and multi-cultural organizations for national and international companies, including working, living and building organizations in Canada, United States, Europe and the Middle East. He has led supply chain and operations improvement initiatives; led division/corporate wide turnarounds and managed large-scale acquisitions and integrations. Ron has a successful track record in developing and deploying strategies and applying leadership and coaching methodologies to improve employee performance. He has introduced and implemented operational excellence programs, ERP processes and manufacturing and supply chain control systems.

Ron currently owns Darwin Supply Chain Solution, a consultancy company that helps organizations strategize, optimize operations and implement larger IT systems. In this capacity Ron is involved with multiple post start-up companies to help them design growth strategies, organize funding and design the proper supply chain.
