Sarah Patton is the Founder and CEO of BluSpace, a boutique firm working with ocean- and climate-positive ventures to strengthen investment readiness and align capital with high-quality opportunities. She is also a marine scientist, entrepreneur, and strategic advisor with over 25 years of global experience spanning cetacean research, ocean policy, and capital deployment. A marine mammal specialist by training, she has conducted extensive field research and built marine conservation initiatives from the ground up across North America, Australia, and the Pacific, translating ocean science into practical, decision-relevant solutions. She founded and led a multidisciplinary cetacean research program and led national and regional initiatives in marine risk assessment, oil spill response planning, and marine spatial management, informing high-stakes decision-making across science, government, and industry.
In parallel, Sarah has over a decade of experience in real estate development and capital management, leading multi-million-dollar projects from acquisition through execution. She received her Master’s degree in Marine Biology from James Cook University in Australia as a Rotary International Ambassadorial Scholar and her MBA from Cornell University as a Dean’s Scholar.
