Sean Glass is an investor with entrepreneurial experience who applies a consistent investment philosophy to invest across asset classes and in public and private markets. Today, Sean does that primarily through Evidenced, the investment firm he founded in 2022.
Prior to Evidenced, Sean personally invested in over 100 private companies across stages (but with a heavy emphasis on seed stage) and is an LP in numerous venture and private equity funds. He sits on the board of Advantia Health, which he co-founded with his father and grew as CEO from 0 to ~$100M in revenue and break even, while navigating the COVID crisis. He recruited his successor at the end of 2020 when he decided to turn his personal focus 100% to investing in private companies.
Prior to Advantia, Sean founded the enterprise software investment platform Acceleprise.VC, and managed the first fund’s investment portfolio, which has provided its LP’s with CoC and mark to market returns significantly above the Cambridge benchmarks for their vintage year. A spin off of Acceleprise is now known as Forum Ventures.
Prior to Acceleprise, Sean lived in London while working, unfortunately and unsuccessfully, to start a social gambling business called PIkum, which was backed by Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Group and various venture capital investors including First Round Capital.
Sean started his entrepreneurial career by co-founding the higher education-focused online financial technology services firm, Higher One. At Higher One, he served as founding president and then as part of the executive team as chief marketing officer for eight years. During that time, Higher One reached profitability and in 2008 was in the top 100 of the Inc 500 list and ranked #12 on the Entrepreneur Hot 100 list of fastest growing U.S. private companies. Higher One went public in 2010.
Prior to Higher One, Sean co-founded the Yale Entrepreneurial Society, and graduated from Yale with a bachelor’s in engineering sciences. He also has a master’s in applied positive psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
Sean is very active and enjoys staying fit, trying to live in a healthy way, and when he has time, he tries to surf, play pickup basketball, and occasionally get a round of golf in.
